STAFF PROFILES
MARIA B. PERSICO
Maria Persico is President of Career Management Consultants, Inc.
She has been associated with the company since her late husband, Louis
Persico, founded it in 1986. She has provided career management,
coaching and assessment services to companies and individuals in
transition. In addition to career management services, Maria has
extensive experience in training, teaching, assessment, counseling,
cross-cultural communications, and foreign language training for
executives in major companies. She speaks fluently Portuguese, French,
Spanish and English and is certified by the State of Pennsylvania to
teach foreign languages.
Maria has a M.S.
Degree in Psychological Services (Counseling and Assessment) from the
University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. She received her B.S.
Degree in Education from Temple University. She has been an instructor
of foreign languages at Messiah College, Grantham, PA in the Languages,
Literature and Communications Department. She has also served as an
instructor and supervisor of student teachers at Dickinson College,
Carlisle, PA and at HACC (Harrisburg Area Community College),
Harrisburg, PA.
JOSEPH F. SCHATT
Joe
Schatt is Executive Vice President of Career Management Consultants, Inc.
Joe is a senior business executive with a corporate career spanning over
35 years in Administration, Human Resources/Labor Relations and 13 years
as a Corporate Officer. During his career, he has been an advisor to
executive management and served as a company spokesperson with Allegheny
Teledyne, Bethlehem Steel, McLouth Steel and Detrex Corporation. Joe
also served as Senior Vice President for the Troy, MI based Executive
Search Firm of Harvey Hohauser and Associates. Throughout his
professional career, he has been responsible for all Human Resources
functions including recruiting, career planning/development and
outplacement services.
Joe received a B.S.
degree in Finance from LaSalle University. He is a certified Life
Options Retirement Planning Coach assisting individuals with their
career decisions and directions. A dedicated community leader, he is a
member of the Rotary Club of Harrisburg; the Harrisburg Regional Chamber
of Commerce;
Carlisle Area Chamber of Commerce;

WILLIAM R. IRWIN,
SPHR
Bill Irwin is Vice President of Career
Management Consultants, Inc.
He is a senior business executive with experience in both private and
public sector Human Resources/Labor and Employee Relations,
Compensation, Leadership and Management Development, as well as
Corporate Office experience. Additionally, he has been chief
spokesperson in both private and public sector negotiations. Bill has
been responsible for all aspects of the Human Resource function
including succession planning, recruitment, strategic planning, training
and development, and designing and administering benefits.
Bill received his
B.S. in Chemistry from Shippensburg University with graduate level work
at Shippensburg, Ohio State University, and University of Michigan. He
has attended senior leadership development programs at The Center for
Creative Leadership and Personnel Decisions, Inc. He is certified as a
Senior Professional in Human Resources by the Human Resources
Certification Institute. He is a past President of the Mid-Atlantic
Division of PIMA, serves on the HRPCPA Professional Development
Committee, and facilitates the certification program for Human Resource
professionals. In 2006, Bill authored his first book, “Leadership and
Supervisory Development” and was recognized by HRPCPA for his
contributions and dedication to the Human Resources community. He was
honored as the 2006 H.R. Professional of the year by the Human Resource
Professionals of Central Pennsylvania Association.
EVELYN SPONSLER
Evelyn Sponsler has been
the Vice-President of Administration for Career Management Consultants,
Inc. for over 8 years. She earned
her Associate Degree from Central Penn College and has over 20 years of
diversified office management experience in Human Resources consulting
and outplacement in medical, and academic environments. Evelyn’s
medical office experience including both Obstetrics and Veterinary
Science along with her academic experience at Penn State University add
to her excellent office skills and ability to work with a diverse
population of clients. Her expertise is in maximizing resources in a
highly cost effective managerial approach. Evelyn’s outstanding
interpersonal skills, combined with her marketing and sales experience
are an excellent fit with candidate expectations. Her flexible,
“can-do” approach allows for calm, creative solutions to meet daily and
long-range goals.
Evelyn is also active in
the Community with the Harrisburg Chamber of Commerce and several
women’s volunteer organizations in the Diocese of Harrisburg.
ROSEMARY MARINO, CCP
Rosemary Marino is a Consultant with
Career Management Consultants, Inc.
with 25 years of professional experience in Human Resources and has
served as business partner in the Service; Manufacturing;
Leisure/Resort; and Education sectors. Rosemary has advised senior
leadership and executives at Milton Hershey School, The Hershey Company
and ARA Services (currently ARAMARK). Her expertise includes
Compensation, Benefits, Performance Management, Mediation, Training and
Meeting Facilitation, Recruitment and Selection, Strategic Planning,
Career Planning and Coaching and is particularly skilled in the area of
Labor Relations.
Rosemary earned her B.S. in Education
from Mansfield University with graduate level work at Lebanon Valley
College. She has completed workshops; certification courses and classes
with Cornell University NY State School of Industrial and Labor
Relations; Development Dimensions International, Dale Carnegie, Stephen
Covey, The Gallup Organization and Disney University. Rosemary is a
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and was awarded a Lifetime
Achievement Award from World at Work (formerly, American
Compensation Association) who issued the certification. She is a 1996
graduate of Leadership-Harrisburg. She was a Presenter at the SHRM
National Conference. Rosemary is currently President of the Derry
Township Board of Library Directors and Vice Chair of the Board of
Trustees for the Hershey Library Endowment Trust. She has previously
served on Personnel Committees for various Boards in central
Pennsylvania.
RUTH S. KARABCIEVSCHY, SPHR
Ruth Karabcievschy is a Career Consultant
with Career Management Consultants, Inc.
She has over 20 years experience in Human Resource Management in private
and public sector organizations. Ruth has served as Vice President of
Human Resources to The Boyds Collection, Ltd. and as Human Resources
Manager for Cowles Magazines / Primedia Special Interest Publications.
She has been an advisor to senior management, having overall
responsibility for all Human Resource functions, employee relations,
policy and program development, benefits and compensation and legal
issues. She was also Director of Social Services for the statewide
headquarters office of the Pennsylvania Association for the Blind.
Ruth received her B.S. degree from The
Pennsylvania State University and earned an M.A. in Human Resource
Management from St. Francis University. She has been certified as a
Senior Human Resource Professional by the Human Resources Certification
Institute and has received training certification from Development
Dimensions International and Achieve Global. In addition, Ruth is a Life
Options Retirement Planning coach certified to assist individuals
transition to their post-retirement careers.
RUTH FETTERHOFF
Ruth Fetterhoff is a Consultant with
Career Management Consultants, Inc.
She has over 25 years of leadership experience in service organizations
and has directed multiple diverse departments, including Customer
Service, Facilities Management, and Administrative/Support Services.
Ruth’s coaching and team building skills have enabled her to rapidly
establish productive relationships with clients to manage through the
job search process. She has consulted with outplaced employees through
individual and group meetings. Her human resource experience and
hands-on business knowledge have been valuable to the success of clients
in defining career goals, identifying specific job markets, and
developing effective interviewing techniques.
Ruth has a Bachelor of Business
Administration degree from Pennsylvania State University. She is
certified by ZengerMiller in “Coaching for Optimal Performance” and has
received the Greater Harrisburg YWCA Tribute to Women in Industry Award.
